There's a giant in this box. Now it has wheels.
Atlas is an open-source handheld engineering computer built on an ESP32-S3, with a 128×64 OLED face that never stops talking. It has 38 modes, 20 of them games. Pioneer is the tracked rover it was built to drive. Together they take everything off the screen and onto the floor.
The dial is the throttle. Pioneer carries no controller of its own. Pick Pioneer mode on your Atlas, scan, connect, and the dial becomes a throttle and a steering wheel. Two motors, one per track, so it turns in place and spins. Lose the link and Pioneer stops on the spot.
Mouse, the flagship. There's a mouse, a crumb, and a two-storey world of ramps, springs and prowling cats in between. You don't steer him. You program his rules, press run, and watch. A hundred levels across six chapters, every one machine-proven, so a perfect score is always in reach. The replay shows exactly which rule sent him into the cat.
Head to head, no internet. Two Atlases find each other over Bluetooth. No accounts, no servers, no setup. Play Pong, lob bananas over a Hamilton skyline, sling shots around a star, or hunt each other through a 3D arena on a screen the size of a stamp.
Every rover has a name. Each Pioneer comes up with its own two-word name, like Turtle Blue, so a room full of them never gets crossed up. Pick yours from hundreds when you flash it.
Flash it, you can't break it. Both update straight from Chrome or Edge on a desktop. No Arduino IDE, no command line, about ten seconds. Updates keep your games and settings, and nothing you flash can harm the hardware. A bad build is always one re-flash from fixed.
Make it yours. Build a joke deck, a quiz, a choose-your-own-adventure or a light show in your browser and send it to Atlas. No code needed. Want to go deeper? The full firmware, all 50,000+ lines, is open to read, change, and hand to a coding model.
